Come join a team or just look on and join the fun at FWW Live's first-ever build-off. Teams will get a drill/driver, jigsaw, screws, bits, a measuring tape and a mission: to design and build a piece of furniture in 1-1/2 hours or so. We won’t announce the exact type of furniture until the night of the event. Winners will take home their tools, a feature on FineWoodworking.com, and bragging rights for a full calendar year! Famed chairmaker Brian Boggs is the keynote speaker at our Saturday evening banquet. Boggs’ legendary ladderbacks are the only chairs Sam Maloof ever bought from another craftsman. Brian will lead an inspiring journey through his first forays into greenwood chairmaking, and his lifelong pursuit of woodworking perfection. The banquet has room for only 280 guests, so you'll want to buy your tickets soon. This event will be held at the Student Center.
